It depends how much flesh you show as to whether tat's are concealed or on display. A friend of mine, who's female, has a nice 1 on her foot & up towards the bottom of her shin. It's similar to the ankle thing but just a bit more unique, less cliche'd & concealable. Other than that, the hip is always a really nice place for a girl to have 1. Again, it can be concealed if you want it to but it doesn't have to be. I'm like you. I know I want 1 but don't know what to get. I know I want it on my right forearm but don't want something tacky. I want something that will stand the test of time & not be an embarassment as I get older. It has to be unique in every way. It can incorporate so many different styles if it wants without being something that looks like a tribal symbol or Chinese writing, which is what everyone else seems to have. I'd like it to incorporate a ying-yang as I've always liked that symbol. Let me know if the ideas were of any use & I want to see pic's if/when you've had it done. Hope it all works out for you.
